LiuGong DW90A Wide-Body Trucks Launched with New Fleet of Mining Machines in Kathu, South Africa
Northern Cape holds 75 of world’s Manganese deposits with 14Mt of manganese were produced in 2017 which 95% of it was exported. Since 2015 LiuGong machines are working active in the region expending with wide range of products to many different Manganese Mining Sites.
The big size equipment needed in Manganese as it has 6 times more density compared to Coal, therefore popularity of LiuGong with 950E and 970E Excavators supported by 877H and 890H Wheel Loaders now has a new partner in business. LiuGong DW90A the wide-body Mining Trucks are launched in South Africa Market with great success and so far, 12 trucks were delivered and working in Kathu, 8 more are in shipment and planned to be delivered in October. Operation Management of Customers reports that Trucks’ outstanding performance comes with optimized payload, fuel efficiency, operator comfort and crucially enhanced service ability that is supported by LiuGong.
In recent numbers show that a yearly of R32 billion was earned in revenue from Manganese Mining with 8,000 direct employees earning R2.4 billion. This sector reinforces the economy with a substantial amount of input of liquidity and job creation. Therefore, LiuGong machines mentioned above together with other equipment such as Bulldozers, Graders, Rollers and other compact machines to complete the fleet puts more leverage on present and future capital investment with their efficiency and “Low Cost of Ownership” beginning with the purchase agreement. So far more than 60 LiuGong machines active in Manganese Mines and this new client has already 24 LiuGong Equipment in their fleet with DW90A Wide-Body Trucks included.
